- Class distances start as short as 5km and can be up to 30km

- Non Competitive

- Recommended speed 8-12kmph

- Completion Rosette

National Rides

Classes can consist of Pleasure Rides, Graded Endurance Rides, Competitive Endurance Rides and FEI rides

Pleasure Rides (PR's):

- Distances up to 30km maximum

- Your horse is presented for a trot up before and after the ride

- Recommended speed is 8-12kmph.

- Completion Rosette

Graded Endurance Rides (GER's):

- Class distances start from 20km

- Your horse is presented for a trot up and heart rate before and after the ride

- Combinations are started individually, in pairs, or in small groups

- You have 30mins between finishing and presenting at the end of the ride

- Your horse's heart rate must be 64bpm or lower at presentation (normal resting heart rate is 34-44bpm)

- Speed minimums and maximums depend on the qualification level of horse and rider

- Your result is scored by measuring your speed and your horse's pulse at the final presentation which gives you a final grade (1, 2, 3, 4 or Completion)

- Any class over 30km also has a placing from 1st - 3rd which is based on a formula score

Competitive Endurance Riders (CER's):

- Class distances start from 80km

- Horses are presented for trot ups and heart rates before, during, and at the end of the ride

- Minimum speed is 10kmph and there is generally no maximum speed

- All entrants start at the same time

- Combinations are placed according to their finishing position - provided they pass the final vetting successfully

- International competition level

- Class distances start from 100km (1* CEI)

- Minimum speed is set per ride but is usually 12kmph or higher
